On 1/27/2023, a female came in to the station requesting assistance. The female stated she had fled several abusive relationships and ended upin the Tri Cities where she is attempting to obtain permanent housing. Her housing funds had run out as of this morning and requested assistance in paying for housing for the weekend. Paid for her hotel for the three nights until 1/30/2023.

On 1/08/2023, Sergeant Thatsana was contacted reference the Community Care Fund. He learned that occupants of a residence was a half-way house for women and their children. He also learned that the residence water line was busted and the house was flooded. The manager of the residence had been notified about it and will not be able to get anyone to come out and fix it. On 01-05-2023, As part of the multi-agency homeless outreach program, providers contacted 22-year-old female was receptive to accepting services from providers and got signed up. There is going to be a delay in receiving those services. Other service providers provided food and new clothing. KPD used the community care fund to secure lodging.

On 1/4/2023 Detectives had to take a female’s vehicle for a search warrant because her estranged husband involvement of criminal activity.She was abandoned at a local hotel with her two young children, and was unable to get a ride home. The community care fund was used topurchase her and her children a ride home to Mesa, WA.

On 1/4/2023, Sergeant Thatsana was dispatched to Trio reference the Community Care Fund. He contacted the head nurse and was advised that 7 months pregnant female and her boyfriend, both are from Salt Lake, Utah. They were in Bremerton, WA visiting his family. On 01/01/2023, at around 1833 hours, a female apartment caught on fire. The female and her dog Lola were able to make it out of thehouse uninjured. She lost all of her clothing, shoes, pictures, furniture and other family memorabilia. Her neighbor is temporarily taking herin while she looks for a new place to live.
