Community Care Fund

A New program in Kennewick allowing officers to have a more hands-on approach when it comes to helping the community.

    On April 16, 2019 Sergeant Dronen followed up on the male with the two small boys. Male attended meeting with on-site Mental Health Professional and he was provided with necessary paperwork to start the process for housing. He got approved for housing at an apartment complex and Goodwill offered him a job but needed to go to DSHS to file out more paperwork. He went to DSHS and they scheduled another appointment for him.     On April 15, 2019 Sergeant Dronen contacted a male with two small boys. Male was staying at a friend’s apartment and had a falling out. He moved from Port Orchard to Kennewick and is currently in training for a job at Goodwill. He left the apartment with no place to go.
