A New program in Kennewick allowing officers to have a more hands-on approach when it comes to helping the community.

    On February 27, 2024, Sergeant Davis responded to the Burger King at 1001 S Washington St, Kennewick for a welfare check. Upon his arrival, he contacted female and male who said they were stranded in Kennewick. They had come to Kennewick two days ago from Hermiston with a friend.     Case #24-013338 On February 21, 2024, at approximately 2110 hours, Officer Moreno assisted detectives with providing a family with a place to stay with the community care fund. Officer Moreno was advised by detectives that the family were witnesses in an investigation and needed a place to stay because the residence was being held for evidence.
