On 07/30/2023 at approximately 0749 hours, Officer Castilleja was dispatched to a welfare check
located at 2720 S Quillan Street (WalMart). The reporting party advised there was a 1-2 year old male
wandering in the parking lot without parents.
Officers arrived and made contact with two adults and three children, ages 5-months to 4 years old. The
father and mother advised they were staying in their van with the children because they were out of gas
waiting for someone from Prescott to bring them money for gas. They were trying to get home, to
Prescott. The children were in their diapers, which appeared to be soiled.
Officers were able to use the community care fund to fill up their tank with gas, so they could make it
home to Prescott. WalMart management provided a box of diapers for each of their children.
