On 08/08/2022, at 1612 hours, an officer was dispatched to the station lobby for a contact that needed assistance with the community care fund. Officer made contact with a female, who is from Ontario, Oregon. The female had her three small dogs, Whisper, Chloe and Cinnamonwith her. She advised that she was living in Ontario with a female friend. The friend talked her into moving to the Kennewick area and livingwith her. She said that she packed up her belongings and her dogs and moved into a trailer with her friend in June. She said that since June, her friend’s daughter moved in along with the daughter’s small children. She said that now her friend’s son is moving back from Alaska andwants everyone but her friend out of the trailer. The female said that she had recently used the last of her SSI, which is her only source ofincome. She advised that she does not get any more money until 09/01/2022. The officer asked if she has any other friends here and she said,”No”. The officer asked if she has anyone in Ontario that can help her out and she said, ”No”. She advised that she has never been in trouble, but her three daughters who live in various states, wants nothing to do with her. The officer found a room at, Clover Island which allowsdogs. He reserved that room for two nights. He also grabbed some puppy pads and dog food for the dogs and some food for the female whoadvised that she has not eaten all day. He also provided her two $50.00 Visa cards for her to use for food. The officer transported the femaledown to the hotel where she is currently staying. He provided her with the (211) assistance number and the number for Human Services. Shewas advised to call the numbers to get assistance on housing.
