On 08/03/2022, at around 1735 hours, Officer Duty was advised that the employees at Hong’s Mongolian Restaurant wanted KPD tocheck on a female who has been living out of a vehicle for several months. Officer Duty went over and made contact with the female. She advised that she has been living out of a vehicle that belongs to her brother since February or March. She advised that she movedup here with her mother under the pretense that the both of them could live with her brother. A disagreement took place where some potential illegal activity was going on with her brother’s wife. The family got mad at her for turning her in and kicked her out of the house. She is slightly disabled and was in the Army National Guard for several years. Her left leg causes her to walk with a limp. Her mother stops by and brings her some food periodically. She only has $14.00 on her card until the 20th of August. With theweather being severely hot, Officer Duty got a room at the Red Lion off Columbia Center Blvd for her until 08/07/2022. He alsopurchased a $300.00 Visa card so she could buy her own food and get gas for the vehicle she is in. She was also provided with thenumber for, “Human Services” and given a flyer on assisting Homeless Veterans. She was very appreciative of the assistance.
