On August 2, 2022 at approximately 2050 hours, Officer Holden was dispatched to an assist regarding the Community Care Fund. The reporting female, advised she had contacted Kennewick Police Department the day prior regarding the fund, but had not heard back. Officer contacted the female by phone. She advised she and her boyfriend had been kicked out of their prior residence, and were looking for assistance for a place to stay until they could attend their appointment with Kennewick Community Services regarding housing the morningof August 3rd, 2022. She advised her, boyfriend, and their 10-month-old child would be without a place to sleep for the night. Due to thesecircumstances and the recent heat wave the city has had, Officer Holden made the decision to put the family into SpringHill Suites for one night, prior to their appointment with Kennewick Community Services.
