July 27, 2022On 07/23/22, Officer A Garcilazo received an email from my officer in charge who advised a person was in need of a car seat. I replied to the email and a short time later received a phone call from a female. She said she left her 5 year olds car seat on her porch while she waited for hersister to arrive to take the child. She received a phone call that she tested positive with Covid, she called her sister and told her their familywas going to quarantine for 14 days. She noticed the car seat was missing and contacted her sister, thinking she may have taken the car seat, whoadvised she did not take the car seat. She said time have been tough lately and was unable to replace the car seat. I scheduled to meet female atthe Kennewick Police station where I utilized the community care fund to purchase she a new car seat. She gave verbal permission to post the photograph taken on our Kennewick Facebook page. Female and her 5-year-old son were excited to receive a new car seat and a sticker. Officer Harris helped her install the new car seat.
