On June 21, 2019 officers were dispatched to the Kadlec emergency clinic for a possible child
molestation call with a three (3) year old being the victim. Officers found a find a family of five
(5) had recently moved out of their apartment because it was too expensive. They work in the
fields and don’t make much. They moved in with their parents who will not allow them to have
a house key. Neither parent have a cell phone because they can’t afford it. On this day the
situation came about with allegations that grandpa may have done something inappropriate
with their three (3) year old daughter. Things got heated when grandpa was confronted and
they got kicked out of the house. They took the child to the hospital with their other two
children, all of them with only the clothing they were wearing. They had no money until pay day
at the end of the week. In an effort to keep the child away from grandpa officers put them in a
hotel room for a week, purchased them a cell phone with minutes and gave them $350 in gifts
cards donated from another organization for food.
