On 10/18/2022 Officer Ealy-Thomas was dispatched to an assist call requesting assistance from the Community Care Fund. A female advised she and her son, had been removed from their residence pursuant to a court order. Officer Ealy-Thomas advised her to contactDSHS, the Kennewick and Pasco Housing Authorities, and the Benton County Health District for assistance prior to providing assistancefrom the Community Care Fund. He explained that she needed to attempt to find a more permanent solution prior to receiving assistancefrom the fund. She  advised she contacted all of the aforementioned agencies, however they were ineligible due to the type of government assistance they were already receiving. I contacted the City of Pasco Community Resource Specialist to see if they knew of any additional housing assistance programs. She provided Officer Ealy-Thomas with the phone number for the DSHS supervisor to confirm that she had actually gone through the screening process, and emailed him a housing application for the female to complete for the Housing Authority.She was provided a couple of nights for her son.
