On January 12, 2026, Officer Ramos was dispatched to assist at Washington Elementary School. The school was requesting assistance for a family of 5 who were experiencing homelessness and had no immediate place to go. Officer Ramos provided emergency assistance to help meet their basic needs and ensured the family had temporary stability during a critical time. This support helped protect the wellbeing of the children and allowed the family time to access longer-term housing and support services. DCYF was notified and will be working with them on this long-term solution.
