On December 31, 2025, Officer Kochel responded to a call from a mother needing assistance. Officer Kochel contacted a female who had recently purchased a vehicle that was damaged. She was unable to open the driver’s side. She bucked her 18-month baby in the car seat and by the time she went around to the passenger to get in the baby had locked all doors. Officer Kochel called a locksmith company to assist in unlocking the car instead of causing more damage to the vehicle.
