On August 1, 2025, an evidence tech was returning evidence back to a homeless male. He had been arrested weeks prior. When the evidence tech was inventorying the items to be return to the male she discovered mold inside his backpack. She considered the backpack to be considered to be BIOHAZAD and disposed of it. She purchased a new backpack for the homeless male.
