October 13, 2024September 27, 2024 Officer Rodriguez l was dispatched to an assist other Denny’s Restaurant. Upon his arrival, he contacted a female, who was asking for help due to her being a recent victim of sexual assault. Officer Rodriguez asked the female how he could help her. She stated she had reported the sexual assault to a Pasco Police Officer. He asked her if she has any family in the area and she stated her parents live in West Richland. She advised she had a falling out with her parents which has caused her to be homeless. She stated she is in the works of getting a job and asked me if we could assist her in getting a hotel room for the night. Officer Rodriguez advised he would check her criminal history and if her story of being a victim of sexual assault was true then it is a potential of getting her a room for her to stay tonight. Officer Rodriguez checked her history and appears that she has no narcotic history, and has been a victim to numerous domestic violence crimes. He determined that she would be a good candidate to receive assistance using the Kennewick Community Care Fund. She was provided with a room for one night. She also asked for assistance with food. Warm food was also provided.
