September 7, 2024 Officer Quinones responded to an EMS. Dispatch advised they received reports of a male who shot himself in his vehicle in the parking lot of the location. He arrived on scene after a few other Officers and KFD Medics were already on scene, appearing to be administering medical aid to the male subject. He proceeded to maintain his position outside of the scene’s immediate perimeter to maintain scene safety, as he noticed Sergeant Engel was interacting with an adult male who was visibly upset. There were other people around which resulted to be family of the male subject. He was requested by Sergeant Thatsana to assist the family in taking care of the tow expense for their son’s vehicle (the Lexus GS). Interstate Towing responded to the scene and towed the vehicle to the family’s residence at 8931 W Payette Ave in Kennewick. Officer Quinones assisted the family by covering the cost of the towing.
