On February 21, 2024, at approximately 2110 hours, Officer Moreno assisted detectives with providing a
family with a place to stay with the community care fund. Officer Moreno was advised by detectives
that the family were witnesses in an investigation and needed a place to stay because the residence was
being held for evidence. Officer Moreno transported the family which included two adult females and
one juvenile male to the Baymont Inn in Kennewick. Officer Moreno also noticed the juvenile male did
not have any shoes or socks on because they were left at their residence. Shortly after, Officer Moreno
went to Walmart and purchased a pair of shoes and socks for the juvenile male which were delivered to
him at a later time. The family was also given a $50 visa card from the department for other expenses.
