On December 9, 2023, Officer Gregg responded a malicious mischief report. The caller discovered that
someone overnight the back, passenger side of her Chevy Uplander minivan had been broken out. Upon
arrival Officer Gregg located and photographed the damaged vehicle parked. She informed Officer
Gregg she last saw her vehicle without damage the night prior at 1830 hours. She informed him she has
no enemies however she has noticed an uptick in gang related, random damage to property in her
immediate area. No cameras were present at the location and Officer Gregg provided her with a case
number so she could report the incident to her insurance company. She told Officer Gregg that husband
recently passed away (Confirmed) and she informed him that her finances have been strained. She has
several children and was planning to go out of town to visit her deceased husband’s family. Officer
Gregg utilized the community care fund to purchase a $500 card which he provided to her to help with
payment for the destroyed window. She was very grateful and repeatedly thanked the police
department and the police foundation for their proceeds to this fund.
