On December 7, 2023, Officer Sagen was contacted by his supervisor and advised to contact a school
Safety Officer at Sage View Elementary School. One of their para-pros had lost her job due to an illness.
The family was unable to pay for their apartment so they lost it due to lack of money. Several staff and
KSD had been helping them for a few days but wondered if KPD had any resources to assist them.
Community Care was used to purchase one week at a local hotel and a $100 gift card was given to the
family for groceries.
