On May 25, 2023, Officer Armitage used the community care fund for four juveniles taken into
protective custody. During an investigation, evidence of child abuse was found and four juveniles were
taken into protective custody. The juveniles were transported to the Kennewick Police Department

while waiting for CPS. The community care fund was used to purchase McDonalds for the juveniles so
they had something to eat while they waited for CPS.
