On May 18, 2023, while at the KPD Foundation BBQ, Commander Walters asked Officer Rosane to
contact a female, an attendee at the event. The female stated she cares for her autistic son and
granddaughter. Her son is non-verbal and needs 24 hour care. She stated they have to move out of
the Kennewick Suites Hotel on 05/21 due to the funding from housing resources running out. She
stated she has made a reservation at Motel 6 but could not pay the bill at this time due to waiting on
her social security check. Officer Rosane contacted Motel 6 and paid the first three nights of her
reservation using the community care fund to give her additional time to seek resources for housing.
