On November 2, 2022, Officer Holden contacted a female who advised she, her boyfriend, and child, were recently involved in a domestic violence situation where they learned, through video footage, their babysitter was physically abusing. Their landlord, despite being shown this footage, evicted them due to this incident, presuming they were involved. She advised she was on disability and the male was currently employed through Elwood Staffing, however, would not receive his paycheck until the first Friday of this month, (November 4), and had run out of funds. They stated they decided to contact KPD regarding this issue in a last resort attempt to keep their son from having to sleep inside a vehicle.
