9/30/2022 –  KPD has been coordinating with a social worker from Harborview Medical Center who is obtaining housing for the family. There was an additional need for a hotel room until the other housing was ready. Four additional nights purchased. (On 9/23/2022, a 14-year-old juvenile male was shot in the 800 block of S Garfield St. The investigation has revealed this male was most likely believed to be someone elseand shot by mistake. On 9/28/2022, KPD was notified the mother of the 14-year-old may be having difficulty with living arrangements inSeattle, WA as she was with her son at Harborview Medical Center. Detectives made phone contact with the mother and she confirmed shecould not afford to stay in a hotel and had been sleeping in her son’s hospital room. Arrangements were made to have the mother stay at an areahotel for two nights and she was put in contact with a social worker at the hospital for further assistance.)
