On 05/30/2022 Officer Melone was dispatched to an assist reference assistance requested. He contacted a female on the provided phonenumber. She advised that she has been staying with a friend, but her friend moved and she is currently homeless. She called and spoke withan officer earlier in the day and they provided her phone numbers to find assistance. She advised that she attempted to find assistance, but could not. He asked her if she contacted the woman’s shelter and she stated that they did not answer. He called the UGM woman’s shelter and spoke to them at 1500 hours and she could not register until tomorrow. He contacted her told her that the mission had space for her andshe would need to contact them tomorrow before 1500 hours. He advised her that he would worked an employee. She stated that there wasspace at the mission, but new persons needed to register early. Offer Melone offered to use the community care fund to provide her a hotel room for the night. She met Officer Melone at the Clover Island Inn and a room was rented for her for 1 night.
