October 22nd, 2020

On October 22, 2020, at 2215 hours an officer made contact with a female and 6 year old daughter, Alexis, who are homeless, (McDonalds on Kennewick Avenue). She advised she had been living at the EconoLodge but due to all the drug activity at the location, she did not feel safe there. Alisa advised she had been attempting to get permanent housing through assistance programs but everything keeps falling through.  The officer advised her he would like to assist her by using our Community Care Fund and place her and her daughter in a hotel for the next few days. The officer also advised her the Kennewick Police Department would reach out to some local agencies to try to assist with getting her help with housing. Female and daughter were transported to the Clover Island Inn and the Community Care Fund was used to get a room through Sunday night.
