On September 14, 2019, Officer contacted a female who was lost. She explained that on
9/13/19 she attempted to drive to Kennewick for her niece’s wedding, which was to be on
9/14/19. While in route with her dog BJ, she took a wrong turn and headed towards Moses
Lake. She finally got her directions straight and ended up in Pasco after dark on 9/13/19. She
asked a church if it would be okay to for her and her dog to sleep in her car in their parking lot
during the night because she cannot see very well at nighttime and does not like to drive at
night. She got up on 9/14/19 and attempted to find the wedding that she was told was at a
church off Olympia Street in Kennewick. She searched and could not get a hold of anyone and
could not locate the wedding. She called her sister in the afternoon and was advised that it was over and they were heading home. She decided that she would head home but had no money, no water, and no food. Funds were used to purchase gas and snacks for her at the Shell on Washington Street and 1 st . The gas station gave her water free of charge. Sergeant Jackson escorted her back to the highway and she continued towards Spokane.
