On June 23, 2019 officers were dispatch to a local motel regarding a family staying there.
Officers arrived and made contact with a female, her five (5) children and both of her parents
who live with her. She explained that she recently left abusive husband and has been staying at
the hotel for the last five (5) days. She has spent most of her money on hotel and food for
everyone. She is working with churches and DV advocates for assistance on a permanent home.
She asked if officers could assist her with a few more days at the hotel. Three nights were
purchased for her and her family. She was very grateful!
