On July 4, 2025 Officer Severson responded to a male requesting assistance. The male had been assaulted by his wife. After making contact with the male his wife returned to the residence armed herself with a knife and left prior to officer’s arrival. The male had no way of securing the residence to keep his five (5) children and himself safe from his wife. Officer Severson purchased one night stay at a local hotel for the male and his five children.
