On April 10, 2025 Officer Contreras assisted a female who is a Recovery Court participant currently in phase 3 and currently pregnant. She has been employed at Wing Stop. She lives with her newly widowed grandfather who she helps with his needs. She is doing very well in SUD treatment, attending her sober support meetings, and working on her steps with her sponsor. She set short-term goals and was able to accomplish it, to get a car and her license. Her last sanction was 4 months ago on December 23, 2024. With the baby coming, she will not be able to work as many hours at Wing Stop as she is currently. Additionally, she will still be required to comply with Recovery Court responsibilities even when the baby comes. Officer Contreras found it fitting to alleviate the financial burden of a child car seat. When searching he found a car seat made for all stages. The female will not need to worry when the child transitions from a rear facing to a forward facing or booster seat.
