September 14, 2024On September 12, 2024, Sergeant Thatsana was dispatched to address a civil matter involving a female. Sergeant Thatsana called her, and she reported being evicted from her residence. Due to difficulty understanding her over phone, he decided to meet her in person, he found her sitting in a wheelchair across the street from the listed address. She explained that she had been living there with a male for several months, paying him about $400 for per month. She stated that her clothes and other belongings were still in the room and she rented. She mentioned that the male had recently evicted everyone from the house to prepare it for sale. Sergeant informed her that this was a civil matter and advised her to resolve it directly with the male. She appeared fearful of male and uncertain about her next steps. Sergeant Thatsana contacted the male at his residence. He indicated that while he was in jail, others moved into his house. He expressed frustration with the presence of drugs and stated that he no longer wanted anyone living there. He also claimed that the female had never lived with him, despite prior police contact confirming otherwise. They were both informed that this issue was a civil matter and needed to be resolved between them. The male was uncooperative and became verbally abusive. Considering the male aggressive behavior and the female’s advanced age and amputated leg, Sergeant Thatsana arranged temporary accommodation for her at Motel 6 for one night. The female was advised to seek a long-term solution for her housing situation. This report will also be forwarded to Adult Protective Services for further review.
