On February 27, 2024, Sergeant Davis responded to the Burger King at 1001 S Washington St,
Kennewick for a welfare check. Upon his arrival, he contacted female and male who said they were
stranded in Kennewick. They had come to Kennewick two days ago from Hermiston with a friend. The
friend then "abandoned" them in Kennewick and they had nowhere to go. They were hungry and
needed a ride back to Hermiston. A check on both of them showed no warrants or court orders. He used
the community care fund to buy dinner at Burger King and then paid for a taxi ride back to Hermiston
for both of them.
