On January 13, 2024, Officer Severson was dispatched to an assist call. Officer Severson contacted one
of the employees with Restoration Community Impact who advised of an elder male, who is an
amputee, and his wife who were in need of a hotel room due to the facility not being able to house
them. Officer Severson spoke to the male who advised he has been homeless for a few years, and was
unable to stay at the location or the Mission located in Pasco due to his medical issues. Due to the
couples inability to find adequate shelter and the fact the feel like temperature was below freezing two
nights were purchased at the Red Lion (1101 N Columbia Center Blvd) were purchased using the
community care fund.
