On 06/21/22, Officer Garcilazo was dispatched to an assist in the Kennewick area. She contacted the reporting party female, who advised her son, had been involved in a car accident yesterday in Pasco, and his children’s car seats were totaled. She called numerous locations, asking for help to replace the car seats for her 15-month-old grandson and 6-year-old granddaughter. One location told scheduled her an appointment two weeks out to. Son confirmed he was in an accident yesterday. He said someone who ran a stop sign, causing his vehicle tospin and flip over with his children inside. He advised he is looking for a job and was unable to purchase new car seats. She went to theWalmart and purchased two new car seats for him. He arrived at the Kennewick Police Station where he received two new car seats forhis.6-year-old daughter and 15- month-old son paid for by the community care fund. He expressed how grateful he was that the Kennewick Police Department helped him in his time of need.
