On November 10, 2020, at approximately 0916 hours, an officer was dispatched to an assist call regarding male and his elder aunt that was with him. Upon contacting him, he was requesting another night stay at the Econo lodge.John had been provided the past two nights stay at the Econo Lodge, 300 N Ely, by Kennewick Police Officers using the community care fund. Officers spoke to him about his current situation and how officers could assist him. He explained that he is out of money, but he receives his social security check tonight at midnight. He requested one more night stay at the Econo lodge and stated that he would be leaving on a train back to San Luis Obispo in the early hours of 11/11/2020. Officer decided to use the Community Care fund and extend his stay for one more night.
