On May 15, 2019 Detectives were investigation a case reported by CPS. They contacted 23 year
old female who had been caring for her 3 year old sister for a week. Her mother dropped the
child off and by all accounts went on a drug fueled binge. Mother left nothing with the child and
has not contacted them since she left the child. The female’s life experience and upbringing
would give her no reason to trust “the system”. Female has a clean home and is employed but
has limited means, just wants her sister safe and away from the mother. Female reached out to
law enforcement as she didn’t have anywhere else to ask for help. CPS didn’t feel the child was
in any danger staying with her sister. Funds were utilized to provide clothing, diapers, bedding,
hygiene supplies, basic medicine, and food for the child. Child’s mother was contacted the
following night at a local school doing drugs in her car. The child will be staying with the female.
