Community Care Cases

On November 28, 2018 Commander White was contacted regarding a family who has been a long time supporters of the Kennewick Parks and Recreation basketball program. This year Parks and Recreation learned that the father and coach of the program would not be able to coach after 15 years of doing so. They learned his wife has cancer and both lost their jobs. Since then father has found employment but they are significantly behind in finances. KPD was asked to assist in fixing his phone and provided car tabs so he could continue helping as a volunteer coach. The family was offered other things like Christmas presents for the kids and they requested car tabs as they believe buying presents could happen once they got another paycheck.
